Terms & Auction Rules

The marketplace

SnapBid connects private sellers and verified dealers. Sellers list free; dealers bid in 24-hour auctions or make offers on dealer-to-dealer inventory. A sale only happens when the seller accepts. Nothing is sold automatically except committed priority listings (below).

Auction rules

Auctions open 10% under the wholesale appraisal and run 24 hours. Minimum bid increment is $100. Offers-line listings carry no commitment. The seller may accept an offer or let the listing end. Priority listings are committed sales: if a bid meets the seller's minimum, the seller must sell; cancelling a committed sale costs $500.

Accurate declarations & inspection

Sellers must answer the condition questions truthfully. Vehicles over $10,000 are independently inspected before closing. Free when the declaration matches; a $79 inspection fee applies to the seller when it doesn't.

Buyer arbitration (48 hours)

Buyers have 48 hours after collection to claim anything undisclosed: frame or structural damage, a title brand, an odometer off by more than 200 km, or a major mechanical fault, with defects totalling $500 or more. Valid claims are resolved by repair credit, price adjustment, or unwinding the sale. Sellers who mis-declared carry the cost; honest sellers are never penalized. Normal disclosed wear is not arbitrable.

Fees

Sellers list free; a $299 success fee applies on a completed sale (invoiced during the pilot). Dealer plans: Base $199/mo, Premium $299/mo, Gold $599/mo. First 3 months free during the pilot. Dealer-to-dealer sales carry a flat $149 fee on a closed deal. GST 5% and QST 9.975% apply.

Accounts

Dealer accounts require a valid OPC or provincial permit and are verified before bidding is enabled. We may suspend accounts that misuse the platform. Questions: support@snapbid.ca.
